Objectives
CER has the following objectives:
A) To support high quality research within the department of Management Sciences,
through promoting a research culture among staff and students and
establishing and maintaining high quality research databases. )
This objective is pursued through the
establishment of a ‘Research Committee’, initiating a ‘Research Seminar Series’, a ‘Discussion Paper Series’, encouraging
staff and students to present their work at National and International Conferences’, and subscribing to useful
databases within the department of Management Sciences..
B) To encourage and promote linkages with the industry and offer quality information and training programmes to commercial clients.
This objective is pursued through exploring opportunities for ‘Consultancy Work’
for the commercial clients, disseminating useful research work through arranging ‘Training Workshops’,
‘Conferences’, offering ‘Short Courses’, and through establishing
and maintaining an active Alumni network and database.
