Foreign Delegation visited CIIT

A two member delegation comprising Mr. Wille Eerola, a Finnish entrepreneur associated with several industries and founder of leading business in technology and H.E. Mr. Shahid Kamal, Pakistan’s Ambassador to Germany visited COMSATS Institute of Information Technology (CIIT) from 24 to 28 February, 2009.

The main purpose of their visit was to provide guidance in the establishment and improvement of the newly developed Centre of Advance studies in Telecommunication (CAST) at CIIT. The distinguished visitors participated in three major seminars conducted separately for the senior and junior faculty members of CIIT at Department of Electrical Engineering, CAST and Department of Management Sciences. They gave in-depth briefing on the latest developments in the area of wireless technology and other cutting edge areas to bring CIIT as a front line player in the region. H.E Mr. Shahid Kamal also gave a talk on “Global Changes and the way forward” to the senior faculty members and management persons at CIIT.
